Q MORNING CREW 6-9AM & MIDDAYS FROM 10-2PM

Well, I like long walks in the rain... candle light get together’s with that special someone and...WOOPS! Sorry, wrong profile...

I got into radio, when my son was just three. I was a single parent looking for a job that opened up my day a little bit so I could spend more time with my son. When I first handed someone my tape (yes tape) and resume, they handed it back to me and said, "We just need someone to push buttons. You'll never be on the air. I handed it back and said, "Keep it, you'll need it”. I ended up being a main fixture on that station (on the air) for many years!

Shortly after the Q launched, I moved from California to South Dakota to join the Q staff. I was hired and began my trek here at the Q on February 17th of 2003.

Over the years, I have been lucky enough to meet and talk to so many listeners...and it has been and continues to be a blast!

My taste in music is kind of all over the road. I could easily fill a page with favorites and what I want to hear sometimes depends on my mood. Sometimes it's Depeche Mode, sometimes it's Janis Joplin, or Bette Midler, or Foghat, the Judds, Genesis, The Moody Blues, Zeppelin or Jewel... like I said, all over the road!

Obviously, I miss the family I left behind in California, but my family here is wonderful. My husband moved here shortly after I did. (Well, we weren't married yet). Actually, we had never met before the day he moved here. We met online, believe it or not? After years of phone calls and messaging... we finally met and about a year or so later, married. He's from Louisiana, but has adjusted well. My son, has since graduated from High School (early... yay) and evidently is still pondering his future...rest assured, I've been very generous with my suggestions (Ha-ha).  I have 2 cats, Mojo (who made the move from California with us) and Kilala (whom I adopted after moving here). I moved here with a dog, Henry… he was also adopted and for many years brought us much joy. We lost Henry in April of 2008, a very sad day, indeed.  Recently, we have adopted a new dog named Hawkeye, who brings us all constant smiles!

I spend almost all my spare time in front of a computer... I know - I know... so I'm a nerd. Is that really a surprise? Aside from finding interesting people and stories, I also use it to stay in touch with family and listeners, and to play games. I love the fact that I can talk to people from all over the world.

I like movies, bowling, anything that makes me laugh and food. Oh yeah...food shows, cooking, creating new recipes, food magazines, cookbooks, and food websites.
